Original works for your enjoyment and reflection.
Ken Waldmann was born in
New York, NY in 1949. He lived on the East Side of Manhattan until he was eighteen, and lived until he reached the age of 74 within the five boroughs of New York City.
Growing up, Mr. Waldmann assumed that engineering science would be his future (as was the
case with his father and brother.) He was encouraged, however, by his teachers to consider
an art career. He decided to study art at Hunter College of the City University of New York.
Although he planned for a career in the art world, Mr. Waldmann's career path abruptly lurched
onto a lengthy detour into engineering and then management.
Having become established as an experienced manager, Mr. Waldmann returned in 1993 to his
first passion, painting. Insights and understanding gained throughout his career have served
to enrich his artistry and have been reflected in a resurgence of creativity.
Mr. Waldmann's work has been displayed in several group showings, including shows at the
Cooperstown Art Association, Cooperstown, New York and Cranbury Arts Festival, Princeton,
New Jersey. His work was also displayed in a one-person show at Hopewell Elementary School,
Hopewell, New Jersey (near Princeton.)
Mr. Waldmann is married with five children, numerous grandchildren, and currently lives in Fuquay-Varina, NC.
